Mental Wellbeing at Littletown

Here at Littletown, we support everyone in our school community, adult and child alike, to understand the importance of the World Health Organisation’s definition of mental health and wellbeing;

“a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community”.

At Littletown we place mental wellbeing high on our school development plan aiming for it to underpin everything that we do.  We have developed a whole school Mental Wellbeing Strategy in conjunction with Early Help for Mental Health.  Our aim is that all children, staff and parents will have an increased awareness of mental wellbeing and talk about it with equal importance as physical wellbeing.

We are committed to helping families find support for mental health in school and you can contact the SAFS team via the office anytime with specific enquiries via admin@littletown.devon.sch.uk marked FAO: SAFS.  Alternatively you can phone the office on 01404 548749.
