Reception

Reception have started a new topic about animals that live under the sea. On Wednesday we enjoyed visiting Plymouth Aquarium, we saw lots of amazing sea creatures such as sharks, jellyfish, octopus, sea horses and beautiful coloured fishes.
In reception this week we enjoyed taking part in pancake races as part of our PE lesson, we had to flip our pancakes and then pass the saucepan to our friends. We used perseverance when it was tricky to flip them but had great fun!

Some children in reception made their own Fred Frog today. They were taught how to roll paper for a frog tongue and how to fold paper for springy legs. Fred frog is going to help them make some words.
This week in Reception, we have been learning the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. We made our own castle and today in our outdoor classroom time, we enjoyed planting bean seeds. We can’t wait to see if they grow as tall as the one in the story!
